How to Find Scholarships:

University Websites: Visit the “Admissions,” “Financial Aid,” or “Scholarships” sections of universities you’re interested in.
Government Websites: Search for scholarships from your home country’s government or from the government of where you would like to study.
Scholarship Search Engines/Portals: Sites such as Fastweb, Scholarships. com, ScholarshipOwl, or Scholars4Dev (which are especially good for developing countries) contain dozens of opportunities.
Educational Consultants: Some international admissions consulting agencies maintain lists of scholarships for international students. (Always verify their credibility).

General Scholarship Application Process:

Collect Necessary Documentation: There are typical standard documents:
- Education Certificate / Transcripts (official – translated if not in English)
- Evidence of English Language Proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL/DET scores)
- LORs (Letters of Recommendation) should be from professors, teachers and/or employers.
- Personal Statement/Statement of Purpose (SOP) or Essay – Customise this for each scholarship and show why you should get it and how it fits your plan.
- Resume/CV -Including your academic, extracurricular, and/or professional history.
- Financial Documents(for need based scholarships) Bank statement, proof of income.
- Passport copy/National ID.

Craft a Strong Application:
- Essay/SOP: This is when you shine. Start with being real, let the rest speak for itself, and proofread you to bits!
- LORs: Get recommenders who you really know and can write some good stuff about your capability and potential. Give them your resume and a good sense of what the scholarship is.
- Accuracy: All details must be accurate and consistent with the other documents.
Apply By Deadlines: Most late applications are not accepted.
Follow Up (if Necessary): In the event of a contact person, a follow-up within a reasonable time frame can be appropriate, though you don’t want to come off as pushy.
