OPT & STEM OPT Extensions

Optional Practical Training (OPT): After graduation, F-1 visa holders can work in their field of study for 12 months.
STEM OPT Extension: Students who have graduated with eligible STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degrees have the ability to extend their OPT for an additional 24 months, providing them with a total of 36 months of work authorization, which is a massive benefit.
H-1B Visa: Many then apply for employment-based sponsorship with this visa.

F-1 Visa Application for Bangladeshi Nationals: To study academically in the U.S., Bangladeshi nationals will require an F-1 visa.

Key Requirements (General):

Acceptance (Form I-20): Be accepted by a U.S. school approved by SEVP, which will provide your I-20 form.
SEVIS Fee: Submit the required SEVIS I-901 payment.
Nonimmigrant Visa Application: Submit the DS-160 form online.
Visa Fee: Make payment of your non-refundable application fee.
Interview: Schedule and attend an interview in the US Embassy in Dhaka.
Essential documents: Carry your passport, I-20, academic documents, test scores (IELTS/TOEFL, SAT/GRE), and substantial evidence of financial composure (bank statements, sponsorship, scholarships).
